Stylysh has big plan for 2012 |

Stylysh - File The shapely Stylysh, known for her unusual brawling deejay style, has quickly gained a loyal, rabid following in dancehall on the strength of her Me A Wife single which has generated over 400,000 hits on YouTube! She first came to national attention when she placed in the top five of the Magnum Kings and Queens of the Dancehall contest, but most people now recognise her from her drops for popular ZIP FM Bambino which play every morning, and her bikini-wearing shots in the popular video for Me A Wife. "The video for Me A Wife has been getting good rotation on HYPE, RE TV and CVM, mi caan walk the street now without someone pointing me out," she said in a release. She said that it is a blessing to be on a riddim with the heavyweight Gaza acts. "The Lost Angel riddim The Lost Angel riddim also spawned a number one hit for Popcaan with Only Man She Want and, as a result of this, Stylysh's song on the same riddim has been popping up on playlists on US radio stations. "Almost every hour mi get a 'bb' about it, or somebody call me and say dem hear it here and foreign, so this is my time to Managed by Billboard chart-topping producer Rohan 'Snowcone' Fuller, she has big plans for 2012, especially since a lot of respected producers have begun to send beats her way. She wants to find a way to make all the dancehall buzz translate into actual sales of her music on iTunes and gigs overseas. She also plans to shoot a music video for the single Fall in Love, for producer Elvis Redwood later this month. "I have been getting some great feedback on Fall in Love, it has over 50,000 spins on YouTube and a couple of Internet radio stations in New York, Connecticut and Boston have been playing it because it is on a hip hop-dancehall kinda beat. People gravitate to it. I did a show in Harbour View the other day, and Sizzla took the mike and say mi need fi do over the song and mi do it two-three times ... a lot of people can relate to it and mi get a lot of feedback on Facebook about it as well," she said. |
