Curfews imposed across the island |

|
Several curfews have been imposed across the island. According to a release from the Constabulary Communication Network (CCN), at 6 p.m. yesterday, curfews were imposed in sections of St James namely Granville, Rose Heights, Flankers and Canterbury. The curfews will remain in effect until 6 p.m. on Friday. According to the CCN, curfews have also been imposed in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland, and will remain in effect until 6 p.m. today. THE STAR understands that sections of the St Andrew South and Central divisions are also under curfew. The curfews will remain in effect until Friday. The areas are West Bay Farm Road, 33 and 35 lanes on Waltham Park Road, African Gardens in August Town and Nesberry off Red Hills Road. In the meantime, curfews have been extended until Friday in the St Catherine North and South divisions. Persons are being advised that during the hours of the curfews all persons within the boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorised in writing by the members of the security forces who is in charge of enforcing the curfew. |
