A seven-member jury convicted a 30-year-old man of indecent assault after he stripped a child and gyrated on him.

The man, who is of a rural St Catherine address, was found guilty after a unanimous verdict by a jury in the St Catherine Circuit Court.

Justice Sarah Thompson-James, then ordered that the accused be remanded for sentencing at a later date.

The Crown led evidence that on April 28 the complainant was taken to his house by the accused.

He reportedly took off the child's clothing and gyrated on him.

However, the child is reported to have started to cry but he was given marbles and threatened not to talk.

The frightened child, however, is said to have related his ordeal to his mother. A subsequent report was made to the Bog Walk police and an investigation was launched.

The man was subsequently arrested and charged with indecent assault on a male.
