Former champions Tivoli Gardens and Windalco will clash in today's feature game of the Jamaica Netball Association (JNA)/Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) Open League at the Leila Robinson Courts.

The game, which is expected to be a very exciting encounter, will start at 3:40 p.m.

In other games playing simultaneously, Upper Camp 'B' oppose Rivoli 'B', New Kingston Raiders tackle Greenwich 'B' and Arnett Gardens 'B' entertain Jetsetters 'B'.

The Sylvester Campbell-coached Tivoli, which last won the trophy in 2009, will be seeking their fifth straight win and Campbell said they are confident.

"We have whatever it takes to beat this team and so we just have to go out and execute our game plan to win the game," said Campbell.

anxious moments

"I know that they can give us some anxious moments because they have the ability to do that, but I know that we will definitely come out on top at the end of this game," Campbell added.

The west Kingston-based Tivoli will rest their hopes in the hands of national Under-21 player, Sade Ffrench, along with former national representatives Cleopatra Grant, Tamara Hylton, Peter-Gaye Thomas and Sabrina Spence.

Windalco, who were semi-finalists in last year's competition, have had a poor run in the tournament, recording one win and two defeats. However, the Clarendon-based team will be boosted with the return of national players Deneen Taylor, Ann-Kay Griffiths and Tracey-Ann Robinson.

Winston Nevers, coach of the Windalco, is very optimistic that his team will give a good account of themselves.

"We are going to have to play basic netball to win this game, because we are not playing as well as we are supposed to be playing at the moment," said Nevers.

He added: "We have been playing without four of our best players, but we will have them back for this game and so I am pretty sure that my team will give a good account of themselves against Tivoli."
