|||||
The Manchester police are yet to release the names of the two men who attempted to vote more than once yesterday. THE WEEKEND STAR understands that the men were arrested as they attempted to vote at the polling station located at the Porus Police Station. It is reported that election day workers became suspicious after noting that the men's faces looked familiar.
After several checks were made, it was revealed that one of the men had already voted once and the other had voted twice.
THE WEEKEND STAR understands that the men had reportedly found a way to remove the indelible ink from their fingers.
Porus falls within the Manchester South constituency which was being contested by the People's National Party's Michael Peart and the Jamaica Labour Party's Colin Virgo. |
