Gunmen rob primary school teacher |

One of the two gunmen who held up and robbed a female teacher at the St Johns Primary School in Spanish Town, St Catherine on Wednesday was shot dead, while the other has been hospitalised. The dead man's identity has not been released. The incident reportedly occurred sometime after 2 p.m. THE WEEKEND STAR understands that gunmen held up and robbed the teacher of an undetermined sum of money, and in trying to make their escape, they were accosted by the police. Details surrounding the incident are sketchy, however, THE WEEKEND STAR understands that both men were shot a short distance from the school. Security at the school has been beefed up since the incident. |
