Curfews imposed in St Andrew communities

Curfews have been imposed in three communities in the St Andrew Central Division. The curfews began at 7 p.m. Wednesday and will remain in effect until 6 p.m. today. The boundaries of the curfews are as follows: north along Elgin Road from Lyndhurst Road to Studio One Boulevard; south along Lyndhurst Road from Studio One Boulevard to Calvary Cemetery along Lyndhurst Road; east along Studio One Boulevard from Elgin Road to Lyndhurst Road; west along Lyndhurst Road from Calvary Cemetery to Elgin Road.

The curfew will also run north along Dunrobin Avenue from the intersection of Dunrobing Avenue and Constant Spring Road to #39 Dunrobin Avenue; south along the gully bank from the United Holiness Church to the Sandy Gully Bridge on Constant Spring Road; east along the gully bank from the United Holiness Church to the Sandy Gully Bridge on Constant Spring Road; and west along #39 Dunrobin Avenue from the gully bank to the United Holiness Church.

Curfews will obtain in north along Ambrook Lane from an unfinished upstairs building to the square; south along Hagley Park Road from Ambrook Lane to the entrance at Robert Close; east along Ambrook Lane from Hagley Park Road to an unfinished upstairs building; and west along Robert Close from Hagley Park Road to the dead end.

During the hours of the curfew, all persons within the boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorised in writing by the member of the security forces who is in charge of enforcing the curfew.
