Upcoming dancehall artiste and ghostwriter Andrew 'Blaze' Folks believes he is the lyrical genius to replace Vybz kartel. He possesses the ability to take dancehall to the highest level.

"I am a young lyrical genius. No negative vibe. I have good work ethics, and if dem sey Kartel work hard, I will work twice as hard because I aim to be the biggest dancehall artiste ever produced in Jamaica," he said.

Blaze claims his music will compete with international acts because his intention is to rival artistes on the global market.

"My eyes are not fixed only on dominating the local crowd, I am about the bigger picture. A people like Jay Z and others mi waah fi rival. Everybody want to be the next Bob Marley, but I want to surpass that," he said confidently.

improvements in my career

The artiste claims he has written songs for Mr Peppa, D Angel, Lutan Fyah among other established acts. However, he claims those days are over.

"Right now I am signed to Magnolia Music and we are just putting in the ground work ... I am looking forward to seeing improvements in my career now, no more ghost-writing just my development," he said.

Blaze is set to perform at highly anticipated Sting, dubbed 'Rumours of War,' and the artiste said he fears no competition.

"Di Bible sey fear God alone suh mi nuh fear nobody. at the same time, yu cyaah fear music if yu love music," he said.

Blaze has a song, Talk Waah Gwaan, which, he believes, will have patrons at Sting talking.

"I did this song to attract attention and to start a potential feud with anybody because I fear no artiste," he said confidently.

He recently recorded a single on the Overproof follow-up rhythm the 'Rumfire', produced by JA Productions.

He is also poised to do collaborations with J.O.P boss Aidonia and young artiste Navino.

"From yu love dancehall yu ago love Blaze, I have a group called Kollege Kru and we just do good songs to put back the spark in dancehall. just keep us in mind and on your Cds and Ipods," he said.
