An alleged member of the St Catherine-based Clansman gang was killed on Monday.

He has been identified as Jerome 'Crab' Williams.

Reports are that Williams was killed by gunmen in the Olympic Gardens area of St Andrew.

The police say Williams was previously listed as a major person of interest and is believed to be the mastermind behind recent beheadings in St Catherine.

They also believe he is behind the recent murder of a young man in Tryall Heights located off the Sligoville main road in St Catherine.
