A woman accused of assault after she allegedly bit her cousin on the finger will return to court on January 26. Latoya Clarke, of a Kingston address, pleaded not guilty to the charges of assault and unlawful wounding in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday. The complainant is alleging that she was bitten on her finger and her head hit against a wall after Clarke reportedly told her not to use a pipe without her permission. The complainant told the court that Clarke had claimed the pipe had a defect. The complainant told the court she recently had a baby and only used the pipe to help with house cleaning. The complainant said she was attacked by both the son and the mother. It is alleged that the accused woman's son allegedly saw the fight and held on to the complainant and then pinned her down. The complainant told the court that it was during this time that she was bitten on her finger. |
