Guinness Hamma Fridaze - a dancehall 'shelling' experience

Wildman Street was again the place to be for a dancehall 'shelling' experience as the community of Spoilers in East Kingston hosted another edition of Guinness Hamma Fridaze.

One of Kingston's most popular street dances, Guinness Hamma Fridaze had it all: top selectors, Guinness bucket deals for $900 and women in abundance.

The event was high energy from the get-go and last week's guest selector Foota Hype added to the experience.

Darkcide Entertainment's Sun Jock sound system kicked things off treating the patrons to some conscious reggae with songs like Sizzla Kalonji's Dry Cry and Rise To The Occasion.

ZIP FM's Johnny Kool appealed to the female patrons as they wined vigorously to several Vybz Kartel songs such as Bicycle, Gwan So and Dumper Truck; the 'thugs' saluting Bounty Killer's Eagle And The Hawk and Mavado's Bad Man Place.

With the crowd already operating at full throttle, Foota Hype took over at the turntables and literally "shell down the place", according to one patron.

One after the other, Foota Hype managed to find hit songs. His best spell was toying with the already receptive females, who displayed their wining acrobatics under a blitz of dancehall hits.

As usual, several celebrities partied at Guinness Hamma Fridaze, including Chi Ching Ching, Harry Toddler and Ninja Kidd.
