Having already secured the ISSA/Gatorade/Digicel Corporate Area schoolboy football double, Neville 'Bertis' Bell coach of champions St George's College (StGC), said his team now has their sights set on winning the triple crown. The Light Blues, who on Saturday captured the Manning Cup title, won their second trophy of the season as they defeated archrivals Kingston College (KC) in the final of the Walker Cup knockout competition, at the Constant Spring Sports Complex yesterday. It's was the team's eighth hold on the Walker Cup trophy, an honour they first won in 1961. The Georgians will play either face St Elizabeth Technical or Rusea's High in the Olivier Shield two leg play-offs on December 7 and 10. Both teams are set contest the final of the daCosta Cup on Saturday. "I have never had the triple and this is the fourth season that I have had the double," said Bell. "We want the triple," Bell said. "However, St George's have had the triple before and so I am happy and we will continue to have fun this season and hopefully it will work for us." St George's got their goals through Mark Brown (45th) and substitute Davion Kelly (60th). Richard Wilson scored the lone goal for KC in the 48th minute. Playing in front of a capacity crowd, both teams started the match positively as they missed a number of clear-cut chances. However, the deadlock was finally broken on the stroke of half time when lanky Brown stunned the KC supporters as he struck home a powerful shot past goalkeeper Javaughn Buchanan. KC' went in search of the equaliser at the start of the second period and they were quickly rewarded when Wilson headed a corner-kick past Campbell and into the back of the net. However, the speedy and skilful Kelly sealed the victory for his team when he fired home a rasping 20-yard shot past Buchanan, who was beaten at his near post. "We got a lot of chances and we didn't put them away and that was what hurt us today," Trevor 'Jumpy' Harris coach of KC said. "I must congratulate St George's because they are a great team and they have one of the best football organisation in schoolboy football at the point in Jamaica," Harris added.
