Star Tell Me Pastor

Evil, heartless sister

Dear Pastor,

I am a 38-year-old man and I am from St Thomas. I have a serious problem with one of my sisters. When we were children, she used to lie on me and my father used to beat me. I grew up, and my father couldn't beat me anymore. My sister couldn't get her way with me, so she took the matter to a higher level.

She went to a police station and told a lie on me. In the year 2005, my girlfriend and I had a fight because she was cheating on me. She went to the police and I was arrested and was placed on probation for two years.

My girlfriend left the house. We were living together. She came back to visit me. By that time my sister came to live at the house. When I came from work, my girlfriend was upset with me because my sister told her things that were not true. She even damaged the television set in the bedroom.

My sister got herself involved with the neighbour, and she wanted me to defend her. I refused to do so. She set up my father against me and caused my father and I not to be speaking to each other.

I went to get some water, and my sister grabbed the bucket from me and hit me in the back of my head because she knew that I was on probation. I did not hit her back because I knew what would happen to me. I reported the matter to the police. They sent me to the hospital to seek medical attention. When I returned to the station, I was arrested and charged.

No one has ever tried to find out the truth of the story, and as a result of that, I am suffering. I even lost my job. I have three sons.

R.D.,

Dear R.D.,

Your sister and you should not be living in the same house and sharing common facilities. Both of you cannot get along. I, therefore, suggest that you find another place to live. Now I know it might be difficult to do so, but if you want to live in peace, leave that house. If you don't, something terrible might happen to either your sister or you.
