The woman accused of robbing a 10-year-old child of $120 had her bail extended until January 13 when she appeared in court yesterday. She is Lydia Black, 21, from Tivoli Gardens, Kingston 14, who is charged with robbery with aggravation and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The court heard that the medical certificate is still outstanding. Allegations are that on June 23, about 3 p.m., the complainant was at a restaurant in the Tivoli Gardens area when the accused held on to his hand with the money given to him by his mother to buy food. Subsequently, she pulled the child outside the restaurant and allegedly bit him on his right hand leaving teeth imprints. Further allegations are that she used a small knife to inflict a wound to the child's little finger. When the matter was mentioned yesterday, the accused told the court that the child's mother and her boyfriend attacked her two days ago. |
