Barbican made it four in a row with a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Duhaney Park, and maintained their 100 per cent record in the Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Claro Super League at the weekend.
Akeem Nelson bagged both goals in the 20th and 25th after Garnet Francis had given Duhaney Park a ninth-minute lead.
Barbican raced to 12 points and hold a two-point lead over Rae Town who defeated Santos 2-1 to be in second with 10 points.
Duhaney Park, who were losing their first game from three matches, remained on four points, but have dropped two spots to fifth.
At the Bell/Chung Oval, Demetrio Bilett gave home team Santos a second-minute lead, but Ander Williams and Omar Williams secured victory for Rae Town in the 41st and 65th minutes, respectively.
Olympic Gardens registered the biggest win of the round clobbering University of the West Indies (UWI) 3-0 at Cling Cling Oval.
Omar Lowe gave Olympic an 11th-minute lead before Kirk Dawkins doubled the advantage in the 28th minute and Lebert Wong sealed the emphatic win
Olympic Gardens, with their first win, moved two places up to eighth with four points. UWI, which was suffering their third loss from four matches, remained second from bottom with one point.
Constant Spring edged Greenwich Town 3-2 in a five-goal thriller at Tinson Pen, after racing to a three-goal advantage, but had to stave off a late rally from the host.
Goals by Sherman Johnson (40th), Dane Stewart (59th) and Shane Franklin (73rd) gave Constant Spring a sizeable lead, but Ricardo Monroe reduced the deficit in the 78th minute and Joseph Archer brought some respectability to the score in time added on.
Constant Spring are on to four points in fifth spot while Greenwich Town slipped to ninth on three points from three games.
Meanwhile, defending champions Cavalier and Mountain View played out a 0-0 stalemate, but still managed to climb up the table. Cavalier inched to five points and up to third, while Mountain View also moved to five points in fourth spot.
Allman/Woodford dropped their first points of the season after being held to a 0-0 draw by Bull Bay at the Bull Pen. Allman/Woodford moved to 10 points from four games and saw their lead reduced to one point.
In another match, the rampaging Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) whipped Molynes United 4-0. The marching men of the JDF jumped from sixth to third on seven points, courtesy of a double strike from André Redwood in the 15th and 49th minutes. He was ably supported by Garvey Simms and Vivian Henry in the 40th and 69th minutes, respectively. Molynes are 10th with three points.
It was a good weekend for the lawmen as Police National trounced Cooreville Gardens 3-0 and moved into second spot with nine points.
The prolific Alwin Morgan opened the scoring in the 18th minute and Fitzroy Dewar made it 2-0 just past the hour mark. Kenneil Blake completed the scoring in the 89th minute.
Meanwhile, Shevon Wright scored twice, in the 12th and 53rd minutes, as Swallowfield clipped Brown's Town 2-1 and moved to seven points from four games. Brown's Town remained on six points.
New Kingston and Shortwood battled to a 1-1 draw, as did Meadforest and Maxfield Park.
Dexter Allen gave Shortwood a 70th-minute lead before Robert Small earned a point for New Kingston four minutes from time. Meanwhile, Oshane Aarons scored for Maxfield Park in the eighth minute and Stephen Thompson responded for Meadforest in the 78th minute.
