The Linstead police in St Catherine are reporting that they are tracking a set of robbers that are targeting food establishments. In the last two weeks, about four businesses in and around Linstead have been targeted. Reports are that on Saturday about 6:30 p.m., a group of heavily armed men conducted a robbery in the view of patrons, leaving the area tense. "Yes, the group is made up of mostly youths who are in need of something to eat," a police said. THE STAR was told that the men went to a jerk centre and robbed patrons of an undermined sum of money. "One of the workers make Asafa look like him nah try ... while another wet herself," a resident said. Meanwhile, several persons are saying that the police need to be more vigilant in order to capture the food bandits. The police, however, said that they are searching for the group which has proven to be very elusive. |
