|||||
|
Two inmates who reportedly threw a bag of urine at a police officer while they were at a lock-up were granted bail when they appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday. Devon Campbell and Zanu Rose, both of Kingston addresses, pleaded not guilty to the charges of common assault and disorderly conduct. Their trial date was set for February 1 with bail being offered at $30,000 with surety for both the accused. It is alleged that the accused men were having a very loud argument when the police officer on duty told them to calm down. It is reported that when the policeman turned his back, a bag of urine was splashed on him. Both men were charged with disorderly conduct. When they appeared in court, they were ordered to give their fingerprints to the police. The arresting officer was bound over until the file is fully prepared. |
