Threat level for cops in Spanish Town at extreme |

The Police High Command is advising that the threat level for cops in Spanish Town and surrounding areas is now at extreme. According to the Police High Command, all cops who work, live or traverse the areas of Spanish Town close to the Spanish Town Hospital including Greendale, Shelter Rock, and Jones Avenue are being advised that the risk of attacks by criminals on police personnel and facilities is imminent. THE STAR understands that all cops are being urged to take this threat assessment seriously and raise their level of awareness and anticipation on and off duty. The High Command has also advised members of the force that "they have the full backing of the High Command in any lawful action taken to defend themselves and citizens of Jamaica," the release from the High Command to the media stated. |
