BARBARA GAYLE, Staff Reporter Bail in the sum of $300,000 with sureties has been offered to 34-year-old Marco McDonald, a member of the Tivioli Gardens Football Club, who is facing charges of rape and carnal abuse. He is accused of sexually molesting two girls, aged 13 and 14, in separate incidents in 2009. A report was made to the police and McDonald, who has represented the senior national team, was arrested and charged on October 26. Attorney-at-law Carolyn Chuck, who is representing McDonald, made the bail application in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court. Resident Magistrate Grace Henry McKenzie offered McDonald bail in the sum of $150,000 with sureties on each charge. McDonald has been ordered to surrender his travel documents to the police. |
