Stabbing in New Kingston |

A 21-year-old man from an Eltham Park, Spanish Town, address who police claim has ties to a criminal gang which operates from the Old Capital is now in custody following a stabbing incident which took place in New Kingston.
THE STAR understands that the suspect, whose name has not been released, was apprehended after he reportedly stabbed another man in the neck during a brawl on Knutsford Boulevard on Saturday morning about 5.
It is understood that the complainant might have been a scapegoat as a police source informed THE STAR that the wounded man was stabbed in the neck as a reprisal .
Further reports indicate that the wounded man was mobbed and stabbed by a group of men of which the defendant was a part.
The injured man is hospitalised at the Kingston Public Hospital and is to undergo surgery.
Meanwhile, a glass window of a telecommunication outlet located on the said road was reportedly destroyed during the attack.
However, it has since been repaired.
The St Andrew Central police confirmed the incident. |
