Chimney Records releases new rhythm, debut single

Chimney Records is ending the year with a bang with a new rhythm and debut single from their artiste Zagga.

The production duo of Jordan McClure and David 'Hizzle' Hayle released their 'Intensity' rhythm on November 11. The song features 12 songs from the likes of Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Elephant Man, Keida, Tarrus Riley, Zagga, I-Octane and more. Speaking with THE STAR, McClure said, "the rhythm is hard-core without being dark with some strong topics in a lot of the songs, hence the name Intensity. It was released on itunes on Tuesday." Having released their mellow 'Steel String' rhythm a few months ago, Intensity goes back to the dancehall to close the year.

According to McClure, the response to the rhythm has been going well since its release. "It has been going great so far on radio and in the street. Bounty Killer's song titled Get Crazy is getting a lot of play in the dancehall already," he said.

Also out on the airwaves from Chimney is the first official single from their new artiste, Zagga. The youngster, who hails from Ocho Rios, has a song on the Intensity rhythm called Money Mi Want and a new single called Change. The song talks about changing after achieving success, but he deejays in the song hoping that his change is a good one. McClure added, "Change was released last week and its doing very well. We've been getting lots of airplay across all radio stations in Jamaica and also getting lots of airplay overseas. Look out for visuals for that very soon."
