Less than a week after the release of the video for Specialist's new single 'Gallis Anthem', the critics are claiming that the video promotes sex in high schools.

The video was shot at various high schools in and around the Corporate Area and features some prominent high schools.

The artiste declares in the song that persons from certain high schools are 'gallis'. A term used to refer to men who have a number of women.

He sings; "A pure gallis guh a Eltham High, a pure gallis guh a Jonathan Grant, a pure gallis guh a Compre suh di gal dem love we. A pure gallis guh a KC, a pure gallis guh a JC, a pure gallis guh a Calabar ... from mi want a gal mi send Ravers guh shout a gal when yu hear mi name call up all bout a gal ... mi tell di gal a me seh cash fi gold, same time she seh she sey cash fi ... she seh any time mi ready she wi climb pon di pole."

"Mi neva mek nuh wrong move, and mi neva sing seh mi a look schoolgal When mi a campaign, a di school dem mek mi reach wey mi deh suh mi just a big dem up," he said.

According to the artiste, he was not making reference to the 16 and 15-year-old high school students but was actually referring to the past students.

"The song is dedicated to the past students dem weh a gallis. Wi naah advise di youth fi guh have girl," he said. According to Specialist, critics of the song need to listen the lyrics before passing negative judgements.

"Di people dem need fi give the song a good listen first and dem wi si seh it point to people weh lef school already," he said.

Specialist also said that he received permission to shoot the music video on the school campuses.

"Mi jus tell dem sey mi a big up di school and dem give me the go ahead," he said.

The Downsound recording artiste who had appeared in the popular Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall competition said that his music is dynamic but not negative.

"Mi a quiet youth, mi a nuh perv, mi nuh pree negativity and am not a culture artiste, I do all types of songs ... I wouldn't advise schoolgirl to look man I love my little sister and mi want har fi come good, the best for all schoolgirls no negative vibes," he said.

The video of the song which is presently on YouTube has being receiving mixed reaction from the viewers.

One viewer Cyrafari commented; "Why is he talking about gallis and lyming with schoolgirls." Another viewer Jamaican316 said "Gallis couldn't film the video at a college."

The CEO for Downsound Records, Josef Bogdanovich, in a recent release sent to the STAR said that Specialist was just giving back when he recorded the song. "He is still a kid himself, you know, and the teachers do love him seems that he was a good student," he said.
