Jamaican arrested in Trinidad |

A 34-year-old Jamaican who was found with ganja in his possession has been arrested in Trinidad. According to a report in The Guardian, the Jamaican has been charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking. Information reaching THE STAR is that officers from the Organised Crime, Narcotics and Firearms Bureau (OCNFB) arrested the suspect on Wednesday at the Piarco International Airport. Reports are that around 8.30 p.m., Customs and Excise officers searched the luggage of a passenger arriving on Caribbean Airlines flight BW 415 from Jamaica. It is alleged that 29 packets of marijuana with a street value of $50,000 were found. |
