Man accused of killing a fireman gets bail |

|
Rasbert Turner, Star Writer A man who is charged with the murder of a fireman was granted $250,000 bail in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court Thursday. He is Michael Morgan, a 19-year-old labourer of Old Harbour Road, St Catherine. In applying for bail, attorney-at-law Courtney Maxwell, told the court his client had turned himself in to the police. He said Morgan is not a flight risk and if bail is granted he would return to honour his obligations. Resident Magistrate Simone Wolfe-Reece then granted bail with one or two sureties. Allegations are that the now deceased was at home when Morgan and other persons entered and shot him. It is said that Morgan was shot and injured in the incident. He turned himself in to the police last month. He is to return to court on December 13 to answer to the charges. |
