A 35-year-old woman has been taken into custody in connection with the seizure of a large quantity of ammunition and a 9 millimetre Colt pistol on Monk Street in Spanish Town, St Catherine on Thursday.

Reports from the police are that about 11:30 a.m, the police conducted a raid at the house and made the discovery.

It is understood that 367 M-16 rounds were found.

Investigations are ongoing.
