Star Tell Me Pastor

Looking for love, affection and attention

Dear Pastor,

Greetings in the loving name of Jesus Christ our soon coming King. I have read your column and must say your advice to your many readers are comforting. I am a 40-year-old woman who is in a stable job and seeking a male companion who is 40 and over.

I am currently in a relationship with a married man for the past 10 years but for some reason, since lately, I do not see where it is going and I am aware that we do not have a future together. The man is a loving, kind and caring individual who takes care of me when he visits Jamaica but he resides overseas with his wife and children and I need someone for myself.

Pastor, I am a woman who loves attention and to be pampered but I am not getting it, and on many occasions I feel lonely and sad. It hurts me so much at times to see other couples passing by and I often cry, a lot.

Pastor I know it is wrong to be in a relationship with him but is it wrong for me to look elsewhere for love, affection and attention?

Sad and Lonely Woman

Dear Sad and Lonely,

You say that you are seeking someone for yourself, but if a man is seriously looking for a woman, how can he be sure that you would not be unfaithful to him, considering that you have been having an intimate relationship with a married man for 10 years? Please understand that I am not condemning you, but I am only saying that for 10 long years you have been comfortable with another woman's husband, why should a man trust you?

Having said the above, let me assure that if any man is interested in you and contacts me, I will let you know. I wish you well and may the Good Lord watch over you.

Pastor
