A teenager of Jamaican parentage in New York has been arrested and charged in connection with two sex attacks in the borough of Queens.

It is alleged that the teenager tried to rape two women, part of what the authorities say is a pattern of five attacks that began in late September.

The minor has been charged with two counts of attempted rape, one count of attempted sex abuse, one count of sex abuse and assault.

THE STAR understands that prosecutors have since suggested that they chose to charge the boy in Queens Criminal Court rather than the family court because of the severity of the crimes.

According to a CBS, New York report, the police say there have been a total of five attacks over a four weeks period and they are still investigating whether the same teen is connected to the other attacks.

THE STAR also understands that it is not clear whether the teen charged is the same person caught by security cameras after an assault outside Queens Village, or if he resembles sketches of suspects released by police.

It is reported that the attacks took place after dark beginning September 22.

In one incident it is alleged that a 44-year-old woman was sexually assaulted while walking home around 1 a.m.

In another incident a 40-year-old woman was beaten and pushed to the ground about 1:15 in the morning.

THE STAR also understands that on October 12, a 24-year-old woman was viciously hit on the back of her head before being sexually assaulted.
