CURTIS CAMPBELL, STAR Writer
Lyrical and controversial artiste Deva Bratt says that he can defeat Bounty Killer's Alliance The Next Generation (ANG) by himself. The artiste has been at odds with the Alliance since his former affiliation with the Portmore Empire. However, since his release of the single Devastation, it has sparked flames in the Alliance circle. According to Deva Bratt, he has respect for Bounty Killer despite the controversy. However, he claims that the 'dancehall general' is too miserable. "Bounty Killer is a artiste wey mi rate over di years, that's why mi duh the song name Can't Believe which was to show respect when Vybz Kartel diss him," he said. Deva Bratt says despite doing the song, Bounty Killer still showed no appreciation towards him.
"I was at uptown Mondays and I hailed the Killer and he didn't answer. I support Bounty Sunday every week and buy my own Hennessy, yet my songs aren't being played, and when a selector duh give it a spin is like him waah it fi stop," he explained.
According to the artiste, these actions by the Alliance boss caused him to spill the beans in Devastation where he threw a lyrical punch at the Killer.
"Yu si the one wey inna black wey long up fi him mouth, wey come a huff up and a puff up like a steam boat, stop hamma di gal dem fi yu secret nuh leak out,"he sang.
Deva Bratt says the war then took a shift towards Alliance artiste Iyara when he intervened by releasing a song called How Dem Ago Pass Mi.
In the song Iyara boldly states that no artiste can get to Bounty Killer without passing him first.
"Tell di bwoy River Sprat (in reference to Deva Bratt) sey when Killa a war dem fi si dung some likkle fool fi stop call di don name," he said.
Deva Bratt took the single as an offence, and being the responsive artiste that he is, Deva Bratt recorded a song called ANG Destruction in which no member of the Alliance Next Generation was spared.
"Bwoy sey how mi ago pass? Mi ask him how him ago stop. 'Hey Iyara, yu mussi waah die or wah, yu a di one wey a look inna Bounty eye or wah fi Killa free Hennessy you a get high or wah'," he said.
Not even Galliance members Bridgez and K Queens were spared the wrath of the DJ.
According to Deva Bratt, the only person who was spared was teenage Alliance member Dada because he was a baby and that would be brutality.
Deva Bratt says that Iyara is no match for him lyrically and he wants a bigger contender, even a world boss.
"Tell Vybz Kartel to fast an pray because it nuh look good pan him, him babymother look distressed, mi want him to come out so that I can kill him at Sting because Iyara nuh strong enough," he said.
The STAR contacted Iyara, and the artiste was tight-lipped about the ongoing feud, "Mi soon give uno the real gist a waah gwaan, mi haffi sort out some paperwork fuss," he said.
Meanwhile, Deva Bratt says he is confident of a victory in any face-off.
"My fans, a Deva time again whether Gaza or Gully, guh pon YouTube and pree di thing dem, a my time again," he said.
