Dancehall artiste Advance, the nephew of legendary dancehall artiste Bounty Killer, says his motivation comes from his mother and his life lessons are taught by Bounty Killer. The Switzerland-based artiste seeks to live up to his uncle's legacy.

"I don't know, but each time I feel like stopping, it is her voice and her words that I hear propelling me to push forward. She has taught me so much, and through my music, I will express the values that she has instilled in me to the world," he said.

Bounty Killer is known to be a stern family man, always showing respect to his mother, Mama Ivy, and it would appear that Advance possesses the same traits because he too sees his family as his foundation.

"My family and my siblings Marcie, Natty, Patsy, Wendy, Tamara, Mark and Rodney - (Bounty Killer) are my towers of strength ... I could not stand if they were not there to hold me up. Family is very important to me, as my grandmother always said (boy never figet u family, dem is all you have in dis world)," he told THE WEEKEND STAR.

Advance recently released his debut album called Game Over and is currently doing and extensive European tour to promote it.

According to the artiste, there is a huge market for his music in Europe.

"The Swedish media has declared my album the Best Album of the Year 2011," he said.

The artiste says that some of the songs featured on the album are very popular in Europe, such as A Better Way featuring international Swedish artiste Million Styles, and Suffering People featuring Danjah.

Advance also operates his own record label called Success Recordz Entertainment Inc, which is also responsible for the production of some of his music.

The artiste currently has his eyes on the Jamaican market where he wants to join his iconic uncle Bounty Killer on the musical platform.

"Though my music has been endorsed by Europeans, the completion of my tour must end in my home country, Jamaica. My Uncle (Bounty Killer), if he taught me anything, is that my allegiance first and foremost is to God, then Jamaica, fans and then my family," he said.
