St George's College will continue their quest for the urban area senior schoolboy football double, and having secured their place in the final of the Walker Cup, will turn their attention to the second round of the ISSA/Gatorade/Digicel Manning Cup competition when they oppose Penwood tomorrow, at the Constant Spring Field in a 1:00 p.m. kickoff. The teams' encounter will be the first of a double-header, with Calabar and Camperdown set to do battle at 3:00 p.m. St George's progressed to the second round by virtue of topping Group E with 25 points, having managed eight victories to go along with a lone draw. They also found the back of the net with great regularity managing 40 goals while conceding a mere three. Penwood were less impressive on their journey to the second round, finishing runners-up to Kingston College in Group F after amassing 13 points with 18 goals for and 14 against. George's assistant coach Marcel Gayle believes his team is ready for Penwood's challenge. "We are here to play every competition and now that we know we are in the Walker Cup final, we are setting our eyes now on the Manning Cup as well," Gayle said. "It is the group stages and only one team comes out so we have to just try and start on a winning note against Penwood," he added. Penwood's assistant coach Rupert Nicholas is not intimidated by their opponents, but is instead concentrating on their own game. "We just want to come and play our game and play to our plan, see how it works out," Nicholas pointed out. The Marvin Tate-coached Calabar won all eight first round games, but were brought down to earth on Tuesday when they were hammered 5-0 by George's in the semi-final of the KO contest, a game in which they went down to ten players. "They are shaken up badly psychologically and even after they saw the tape with the red card incident; it made matters worse," Tate said. "They are in high spirit just the same and we will rebound, but to how high we are going to rebound is yet to be seen," he added. In addition to the psychological blow suffered by Calabar they will be weakened due to a suspension and player injuries. One of the players on the injury list is their leading scorer Kyle Scott. Camperdown finished as runners-up in their group with 25 points, the same as eventual winners Jamaica College. The Christopher Bender-coached team scored 29 goals in the first round while conceding seven. "We are playing a Calabar team that is wounded and when you are wounded you are dangerous," Bender said. "It is about trying to start on a positive note, because we know it is going to be a very difficult game. Tomorrow's Games
