Farming community awakes to gruesome murder |

Residents of the farming community of Red Ground district, St Catherine, woke up to a gruesome murder in their community yesterday. Dead is Odane Thompson, 25-year-old labourer of Five Mile, Red Ground, St Catherine. Thompson's body was found with its hands bound and neck slashed and a shot to the upper body. The police said about 6:30 a.m., residents stumbled on the body in a chair at Thompson's home. The Old Harbour police were called and a team went to the scene where a large crowd converged. No motive has been established in Thompson's murder. Investigation is being conducted by the Old Harbour police. |
