CURTIS CAMPBELL, STAR Writer
Following rumours that dancehall artiste G Whizz's British visa had been revoked, the management team representing the artiste has come out publicly and dispelled the claims. According to G Whizz's assistant manager Floyd Barrett, the information which is being circulated is far from the truth. "I was recently informed that G Whizz was denied a British visa and was unable to take up an offer for a European tour. As G Whizz's manager, I would like to take this opportunity to inform G Whizz's fans and promoters that the information is not true and should be treated as rubbish," he said. According to the manager, the entertainer has no problems and is free to travel. "G Whizz has no issues with any embassy and can travel anywhere around the world once all relevant details regarding tours are clarified," he said. Barrett says that the controversy started because of a disagreement that the management team had with a third party connected to G Whizz's European tour. "Therefore we had to stay away from a deal that would see us visiting a foreign nation without an appropriate plan," he said. According to the manager, G Whizz apologises for any inconvenience caused and it is hoped that the false information did not leave a harmful impression on the promoters. When THE STAR contacted G Whizz, he said, "The promoter that was putting the tour together wasn't ready for this yet. He was suppose to go on the tour with us and he didn't want to, so we just decided not to go because the paper work wasn't right." The artiste says that he is fully equipped with his visa, and ready to work as long as proper arrangements are made and the necessary protocols observed. |
