She doesn't want us to be together |

Dear Pastor, I have a friend and I am in love with her brother. I am 23 years old. He is 25 years old and he is a police officer. When I told her that her brother and I love each other, she told me very bad things about him. I asked her how come she never told me those things about him before, but, suddenly, since I told her that I like him, she is telling me that he is no good. She said he likes a lot of women and he doesn't give them any money. While she was saying that to me, I took out a new watch from my bag and showed her and told her that it was her brother who bought that for me. She has it to say that I tie her brother to me. My boyfriend says that she is saying all those things because she doesn't want him to have a relationship with me. She feels that I am not good enough to have a relationship with him. I never thought that she would be against me, because when she doesn't have any money she comes to me for help. I even allowed her to wear my clothes. And when she cheated on her boyfriend, I covered for her. Do you think that I should expose her since she is so much against me? I will do whatever you advise me to do.
O.K.
Dear O.K.,
Don't retaliate. Leave your friend to fall on her face. For reasons better known to herself, she wouldn't want her brother to have a relationship with you. Perhaps you have said things about yourself to her that are not commendable. Sometimes girls talk to each other about intimate things and they give away themselves.
If you told your friend about what you did with guys or how many guys you had in your life, she might not want her brother to have anything to do with you. I don't know what the problem is, but she has her reasons for not wanting you as a sister-in-law.
I suggest, however, that you
continue to be nice with your friend, but be careful not to say anything negative about either of them.
