A 41-year-old vendor was shot and killed Saturday afternoon along Lady Musgrave Road in the Kingston 6 area as she made her way through vehicular traffic.

Dead is Inez Cole-Kettle of Gibraltar Housing Scheme, Anotto Bay, St Mary.

Reports from the CCN are that about 5:40 p.m. Cole-Kettle was driving along Lady Musgrave Road when she stopped in a line of traffic.

A grey motor car was reported to have pulled up and an armed man alighted from the vehicle and opened fire hitting Cole-Kettle several times before escaping.

She was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Investigations continue.
