FAMILY DISPUTE LEAVES SISTER HURT

A brother and his sister accused of assaulting their younger sister are to return to court on November 14 to answer to the charges of occasioning bodily harm and unlawful wounding.

They siblings are both of Kingston addresses. They will both reappear in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate Court after being charged with assault.

It is alleged that the complainant got into an argument with her sister but when things got heated they started to throw stones at each other.

She then went to report her sister to the police just as her brother came outside to see the commotion.

He allegedly claimed he asked what was going on and saw his younger sister throwing stones at his older sister, he then ran after her to catch her.

He told Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey that he did not assault his sister because he couldn't catch her when she ran off.

They were then instructed by the senior resident magistrate to leave the younger sister alone and will be provided an opportunity for mediation from the probation officer.
