Hurricane, Specialist showdown at Sting?

Hurricane and Specialist

With tempers flaring, it seems like there might be a rematch between Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall winner Hurricane and his runner-up Specialist.

The developing feud seemed to start with a recent television interview with Specialist. While watching the interview, Hurricane said, "To how him a talk, mi feel small."

He continued: "So mi a seh why worry bout my million when yuh a mek trillions. Him a mek it look like a curry favour mek mi win, but a hardwork and determination and who a work hard inna di streets."

Following that television interview, Hurricane said he confronted Specialist on Irie Fm's 'The Buzz'. After that, he said he met with Sting's Isaiah Laing and a clash at the December 26 show was confirmed between the two artistes.

Hurricane said he would also be releasing a song called Send Di Whole a Dem, which is directed at Specialist and a Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall judge, who he says has produced songs for Specialist.

Although not confirming that a clash would occur, Specialist, who recently did Gallis Anthem, said he will not back down from any confrontation.

"After dem give him him million, him waan come dip inna mi trillion. Him nuh inna my pair a shoes fi stand up and clash wid. But if a man a call up mi name, mi nah back down from no bwoy," he told THE STAR.

"Right now, Specialist a pree some good music, mi nah really pree no clash. You know a song weh Mavado do weh seh lost mi lost dem? A dat mi a do him ya now. It look like him a look a comeback, but mi nah give him none."

Nonetheless, Hurricane said he has released a music video his songs Galang Bad and Wine Yuh Waist. In addition, he said he has been recording for producers like Washroom, Ward 21 and Gorilla Music. He also said he has numerous shows lined up for the rest of the year.

But if a lone gunman had his way on Heroes Day, Hurricane would not be alive. The artiste said he was in a taxi en route from downtown Kingston to Bull Bay in St Thomas when the incident occurred. He said a man, who was sitting the back of the vehicle, asked for a stop but instead of paying his fare, Hurricane said the man held a gun to his face and pulled the trigger.

"'Bout three time him press it and it stick," he said.

Somewhat an act of heroism, Hurricane said he pushed the gun away and the driver sped off. Thankful that he is still alive, Hurricane says, "Mi just get a car the next day and a fix it up now."
