Tivoli take NPL lead

Tivoli Gardens took over the sole leadership of the National Premier League following a 1-0 win at the Edward Seaga Complex yesterday.

The win moved Tivoli to the top of the table with 14 points, while Portmore stayed second, but were joined by Sporting Central who drew 0-0 at Reno.

Waterhouse remained third despite a 1-0 loss to rivals Arnett Gardens. Jonathan Williams got the crucial goal for the Junglists in the 72nd minute. The Drewsland team were, however, joined by Humble Lion who got by Highgate 1-0 courtesy of a goal from Lenworth Hyde Jr in the 43rd minute.

Boys' Town were unable to get a second win in a row, but still earned a valuable point following a 0-0 draw with rivals Harbour View at Collie Smith Drive.

Promoted MoBay United, courtesy of a goal from Rohan Bernard, in the 74th minute, got the better of Village United in a 1-0 win.
