One man has been arrested by the Kingston Eastern police in connection with the seizure of an illegal gun in Shooter's Hill in 7 Miles, St Andrew, on Tuesday.

The gun seized is an M16 rifle.

According to the Harbour View police, about 1:45 p.m., officers were conducting an operation in the area when the firearm, an A2 M16 rifle, was found.

The man's identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
