Star Tell Me Pastor

I want you to marry us
Dear Pastor,

I have a problem and I would like you to help me. When I was 20 years old I wrote to you and told you that I was raped when I was a teenager and you gave me good advice. I couldn't trust men, but thanks to you now I can trust men again.

I am living with my babyfather and we are planning to get married. He has three children and he is a truck driver. He supports his children. He does not smoke and he does not drink. The only problem I have with him is that he is jealous.

He is 37 years old. I told him that you are the one who helped me to get over our problems, so it is you I want to marry us.

So please, pastor, tell us if you would marry us and when we should come in and see you.

T.A., St Mary

Dear T.A.,

I am glad to know that you have found a good man. I am also happy to hear that you have learned to trust men again and that not all men are rapists or abusers of women.

Your child's father is willing to marry you, but he is jealous. Therefore, both of you should go through premarital counselling. He is by far your senior.

And generally speaking, men who are much older than their spouses are jealous because they are fearful that the women may not be faithful to them.

Nevertheless, some younger wives have proven to be loyal and faithful to their husbands who are much older than themselves.

I stand ready to assist you in any way I can. Please call the office and speak to my assistant for an appointment.

Pastor
