Dear Pastor,

As much as some of us women dislike it, a man needs his space and we do too. Whether we like it or not, some men will cheat, no matter what you do. The reality is, even though some cheating is for the scratching of a man's ego, other times it is a result of something lacking. Of course, everyone deserves a second chance, but that is up to the emotional capacity of the person being cheated on.

Forgiveness is, of course, a must because if you don't forgive, that pain will make you bitter and that person will have power over you for as long as you refuse to forgive. You must forgive, no matter how hard it is. Time heals all wounds.

You are a wise woman. You are quite correct in saying every man needs space. The same is true for women. A man must be willing to allow his woman to do things on her own without him looking over her shoulder. A woman should have confidence in her husband and not fret when he goes out with guys without her. Women do not always want to have men around everywhere they go. Men do not always want women around.

Now concerning forgiveness, people can forgive each other but agree not to continue the relationship. Forgiveness does not mean a couple has to stay together. It means you are living in peace with each other and wish each other well.
