Robber shot and killed by his accomplice
A 19-year-old man who was reportedly shot dead by his accomplice during a robbery attempt on Orange Street, Kingston, has been identified.

He is Deano Howard of a Pink Lane address in Kingston 14.

According to reports from the Denham Town police, Howard and another man boarded a taxi from downtown Kingston to Cross Roads.

It is reported that on reaching a section of Orange Street, the man who was in the rear of the motor vehicle pulled a firearm and reportedly held it to the driver's head.

A struggle ensued between the driver and the man and explosions were heard.

The driver then reportedly lost control of the motor vehicle, which crashed into a brick wall.

THE WEEKEND STAR understands that it was at this point, they realised Howard, who was sitting in the front- passenger seat, was shot and injured.

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. The other man escaped.

The driver also received injuries and was treated at hospital and released.
