Former Portmore Empire artiste Deva Bratt says that Karma is out to get Vybz Kartel. According to Deva Bratt, Kartel rejoiced when he (Deva Bratt) was in trouble with the law, and now it's his turn to face his judgement.

"Karma is a... the same thing you wish for people, it will happen to you, I wish no bad on him, but a him first did duh song a style mi when I was in trouble with the law," he said.

According to Deva Bratt, he is not surprised at the present situation that Vybz Kartel is in, because of the way he lives his life.

"I'm not the least surprised, I have to just look at it as it is, cuz it is what it is, as an artiste too much of one thing nuh good," he said.

The artiste says that he is not going to predict an outcome of the ongoing investigations, but it doesn't look good on his former boss.

"It nuh look pretty pon him cuz body find inna house as dem sey, the Almighty know wah ago happen suh God will be the final judge, God guh wid him cuz mi cyaah guh," he laughed.

The artiste says it will be interesting to see who will be the boss in dancehall, in the absence of Vybz Kartel, a position that he would gladly assume.

"Mi waah si a who ago whol up dancehall now like how Kartel outa di picture, mi waah si wah 'Foot Corn' ago duh," he said.

Deva Bratt says that since his exit from the Empire, his career suffered a blow, but now he plans to go full speed ahead once more.

"Mi ago jus move to the girl dem now, mi dun wid the war things, suh mi just want the DJ dem start play the song dem again. Mi have a song name Motivation produced by Gesta Music and it a guh hard," he told THE WEEKEND STAR.

The artiste, who is no stranger to musical feuds, also had strong words for upcoming Alliance Next Generation artiste Lyara.

"Mi hear sey Lyara have a song a diss mi, but if him call mi name him a dead before Sting," he warned.

Deva Bratt is the first ex-Portmore Empire member to comment on Vybz Kartel's incarceration.

Deva Bratt was freed of carnal abuse charges in January, and had maintained his innocence throughout the ordeal.
