With two matches to go, it is still anybody's guess who will accompany Manchester High from Zone G in the daCosta Cup inter-zone round and today's fixture is unlikely to make that prediction any clearer.
Spaldings enjoy pole position with 17 points, Knox have 16, and Christiana 14. Victory in today's matches will be paramount as all three are involved in Saturday's final round of games. However, only two can achieve victory as Christiana will host Spaldings. A draw will effectively eliminate Christiana, as their prospects will be dire on Saturday when they travel to Mandeville to face a fearless Manchester team.
Knox will have a win on their minds against Holmwood but Tuesday's results weigh heavily against making any predictions. On the most competitive day of the entire round, only four goals were scored with Manchester eking out the lone win. They were made to work hard at home in defeating out-of-contention Belle-field 1-0, a far cry from the 4-0 win they dished out in the first round.
Minnows Holmwood and Mile Gully rallied to hurt the campaigns of Knox and Christiana with 1-1 draws.
