I feel that running a home is like running a successful business in a lot of ways. First and foremost, there must be effective communication, genuine love and concern for all, guidance when needed, rewards when appropriate. Listen and listen well, because someone else might have an idea of completing a task smarter instead of working harder.

I agree with the observations that you have made. No one knows everything. Effective communication includes listening. Some people are good talkers but not good listeners, and that is one of the reasons why some couples fight all the time. One spouse believes that he/she should have all the say while the other should keep quiet. Sometimes the one who likes to talk should really be listening. I am convinced that such persons should not get married or live with anyone.
