Deejay Sizzla Kalonji is advising his fans that he has not agreed to be on any shows in the Christmas despite advertisements to the contrary. According to a release sent to The STAR, a number of promoters have been advertising shows with him that he has not agreed to. The release stated that Sizzla has not authorised any winter tour or shows overseas since his last tour in 2009. Sizzla is requesting that fake promoters should not be tricking the fans with false promotions of upcoming tours or shows. This comes after the deejay was admitted to the hospital in critical condition following a motor bike accident in August. The deejay is reportedly recovering well and is almost ready to return to the music scene since his accident. According to the release, the road to recovery has been speedy and Sizzla would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and other medical staff that have assisted in his healing. Sizzla was hit by a vehicle overtaking a bus, while riding a motorcycle in Runaway Bay. As a result he had to spend almost two weeks in University Hospital of the West Indies after being airlifted from St Ann's Bay Hospital in serious but stable condition to Kingston. The daily visits at the hospital by his family, friends, industry comrades, and fans helped to motivate his spirit and build his morale. Sizzla was quoted as saying, "I am feeling very strong, healthy, and I am coming along well. Thanks to the Most High Jah Rastafari." A number of things are in the making. A ladies album has been released under Kalonji Music and VP Records called Welcome To The Good Life. It comprises 12 tracks including Come On, Good Life, and Hush featuring Kim Davis which was a favourite of many disc jocks on New York's Hot 97 station. Sizzla described the album saying," It's an urban album yet rootsy and I found it fitting for the ladies." There will be upcoming video shoots for two singles off his 65th album Scriptures released under John John Records and Zojak World Wide. Currently the album is the second biggest seller on ebreggae.com for the past month; 13th the past week; sixth this year. Cleanse My Soul featured on iTunes France and Japan on October 11. A number of singles have been released by several producers including Love Jah & Live which is creating a buzz on the streets and has become an anthem for many young Sizzla fans. It appears on the Jinx Rhythm and is currently on several charts including FIWI charts. Songs that have been released on iTunes are Cleanse My Soul,Jah Is With Me, Believe In Yourself to name a few. Sizzla has been planning the direction of Sizzla Youth Foundation whose aim is to provide positive youth programmes, activities, and support in Jamaican communities that contribute to its growth, development, and unity. Sizzla Youth Foundation needs financial support for a Rites of Passage programme for boys and girls 13-18 from private and public donors to help fund the work. Sizzla will be making a few official trips to Africa for projects in Ghana and Zimbabwe soon.
