A man who is accused of touching an exotic dancer inappropriately was remanded when he appeared in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday. The 18-year-old accused is from a Spanish Town, St Catherine address. Allegations in the case are that on October 3, while the woman was sleeping in a house close to the club where she worked, she was allegedly touched by the accused. It is claimed that the accused man inserted his finger inside her while she was asleep. The frightened woman is said to have woke up and screamed. The police were contacted and the accused was subsequently charged with indecent assault. When the case appeared in court yesterday, the accused pleaded not guilty. He explained to the court that the woman was someone who was accustomed to being touched. "Your Honour, mi nuh guilty fi touch har. She a 'go-go' and used to be touched," Smith explained to the court. The accused was remanded until November 9 when he will reappear in court to answer to the charge. |
