However,chairman of the South East Regional Health Authority (SERHA) Lyttleton Shirley while admitting that there was a patient who underwent challenges on the day, has since informed THE STAR that such a claim of a perilous injection being administered to the patient is erroneous.

"There was a patient that was under medical treatment at the hospital who had undergone medical challenges in her treatment process," Shirley told THE STAR.

He went on to say that, "I'm not sure the panic came from our medical team ...There were concerns and these concerns have been explained to the family."

At the same time, Shirley chose not to elaborate fully into the matter because of the ethics which protect patient doctor confidentiality.

However, he told THE STAR that the minor has since been transferred to the Kingston Public Hospital for further treatment.
