Upcoming dancehall deejay Shawn Storm, who was on the weekend named as a person of interest, is still in police custody.
Checks made with the St Catherine police up to late last night revealed that the artiste remains in custody after he was turned in to the police by his attorney Michael Deans yesterday.
Information reaching THE STAR is that the police went to his mother's house on Saturday in an effort to take him in after he was named as a person of interest.
However, it is unclear as to why he was named a person of interest.
In the meantime, Vybz Kartel who is the head of the Portmore Empire, which Storm is a part of, is expected to answer to
murder, conspiracy, and firearm charges on Thursday.
Last Friday, Kartel was remanded in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court after he pleaded not guilty to possession of ganja.
He is to return to court today when that matter will be mentioned. |
