|
After eluding the Canadian authorities for the past 11 years, 48-year-old Jamaican Charles Andrew Fischer was nabbed in that country on Tuesday.
THE STAR understands that Fischer was arrested about 10 a.m., in a section of Toronto. He is said to go by the aliases Charles Fish, Charles Fischer and Charles Cummings and reportedly has a number of criminal convictions in Canada including narcotic related offences. Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) said it received an anonymous tip in September with regard to his whereabouts. Fischer was wanted on a Canada wide warrant for removal from Canada. The warrant for removal was issued based on his criminal convictions in Canada including drug and fraud related offences. The CBSA has initiated removal proceedings. |
