Amid a mixture of tears and laughter the twelve finalists in the 2011 Tastee Talent Trail competition experienced a five star weekend at Breezes, Runaway Bay.

Tears were shed by those eliminated as well as others who got their performances wrong.

Friday, September 30, 2011 promised so much but at the end on Sunday, October 2, 2011 only nine contestants remained standing. With the hotel enjoying a high occupancy level, the finalists in this year's competition performed before a good turnout both on Friday and Saturday nights.

The contestants performed two songs each in the main dining area on Friday night with standout performances from Patrick Brown, Denna Mcleod, Minori Russell, John Rhea and McHuel Prince. Also holding their own were the magician Sean Bailey, Kaydene Anderson and Camalla Latouche.

On Saturday night, rain curtailed the pool side setting resulting in the contestants being moved indoors and doing one song each before returning to complete their two song set on Sunday morning at poolside.

Several persons seemed greatly affected by the change and their performances depicted this as their standard fell way below expectation.

Sponsored this year by Tastee, Pepsi, Breezes, TVJ, FAME, Supreme Ventures, Sparkles Production, LIME, T-Shirt Express, KSAC and Kosmo Tours, the Breezes Reality Weekend showcased the gamut of entertainment these include; singers, DJ's, singjays and a magician, all vying for the $1 million cash prize and a shot at stardom.

Second-place winner will pocket $250,000 while the third prize is $100,000. All finalists on the December 15 finals will receive mobile phones from LIME.

Grooming continues both in Montego Bay and Kingston ahead of the Thursday, November 30, 2011 final elimination show at which one person will be sent home leaving eight to perform on the grand finals at the parking lot at Tastee Head Office, Cross Roads, on Thursday, December 15, 2011.
